Honored for my volunteer work at the VDI

I'm delighted to have been honored for my volunteer work with the Association of German Engineers (VDI)! Since my student days, the VDI has been an important part of my volunteer work – a platform that promotes and inspires not only the engineering profession but technology in general.

From January 1, 2025, I'm taking on a new role: chairing the board of the Black Forest district association. This responsibility fills me with pride and great motivation - after all, I'll then be the youngest chair to date in the entire state. I'm particularly proud of the digital projects I've been able to initiate in recent years, such as VDI Net, which connects our members better and gives the association new momentum. But my commitment in the region to getting young people excited about technology and engineering is also especially close to my heart.

For me, this honor is not only recognition of the work so far, but also an incentive to keep actively shaping things, contribute new ideas and lead the VDI into the future. Many thanks to everyone who has accompanied me along the way!

I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead – and to moving technology and scientific and technical professions forward together with you.
