Danke für die Disruption!
Die Strategien und Philosophien der weltweit führenden Unternehmer
Jean-Marie Dru
What is disruption?
Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Larry Page or Sergey Brin – a lot has already been written about all of them. Usually it’s about the person, a description of their achievements or their charisma. Danke für die Disruption! is about the very concrete strategies of these and other outstanding personalities. And that’s exactly what makes it such an exciting read: we get concrete tips and detailed approaches to typical problems in business.
Which topic and problem does this book address
The book addresses five main areas of business:
- Leadership
- Business theories
- Organizational culture
- Brand building and
- Social engagement
For each of these areas, well-known personalities serve as examples. The book describes and illustrates very vividly how outstanding changes in these areas were designed and implemented.
Who is this book for
Thanks to its very practical and simple writing style, the book is well suited both for newcomers to the topic of disruption and for advanced readers looking for new inspiration. Disruption has almost become a buzzword and is used inflationarily. All the more pleasant that this book explains the word with concrete examples.
My personal opinion
The book truly inspired me. It was enriching to learn how typical problems in business were tackled. The simple writing style made it very pleasant to read. Besides well-known names, there were also personalities who were (at first) unknown to me, such as Paul Polman (social engagement vs. economic management) or Patty McCord (employee empowerment).
“"For everyone who wants to know what disruption means in practice."”
For each of the business areas mentioned, readers can find something from their own experience. That makes it very easy to put yourself in the shoes of the problems described. So from my side, a clear recommendation to buy for everyone who wants to know what disruption means in practice.
